"I Am Here" gets significant airplay on Refuge Radio

Jason Watson loves sharing the airwaves with the big dogs of today’s Christian music. Jason can currently be heard along side artists like Tenth Avenue North, Building 429, and tobyMac. “I Am Here”, the second release from the EP “Step Into the Light” is receiving regular play on Refuge Radio which serves the six-state region of Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.
 
“We have quite a few fans up in the Minnesota and Michigan area that have been making requests for the song,” Jason states. “It’s exciting to hear that people love your music and have been touched by your ministry.”

June 15, 2009 (Springdale, AR) Step Into the Light, a new hit song from Jason Watson, just landed in the #1 spot on Christian Radio Weekly’s Global Rock Chart. This song was released by McLaughlin Music Group International, Inc. on May 11th where it actually debuted at #3. Spanning across three formats this week, Jason’s song also ranked in two other formats including #12 on CRW’s Global CHR and #19 on Global AC.

'Step Into the Light' Hits Radio

Jason Watson's first radio release, "Step Into the Light", has done very well in its first week.  Though the official number of stations has not been reported, it's estimated that around 50 radio stations worldwide are playing this single.  The really exciting news is that the song is already charting its debut week.

New Website Finally Finished!!!

After months of preparation, weeks of programming, and endless hours of blood, sweat, and tears, I finally have the new website done.  I still have some more work to do (EPK, band bios, Myspace, and Facebook), but I finally feel comfortable with rolling it out.  Check out the new tunes and a couple of the awesome links along the bottom (MMGI and KingCat working currently).  Whew!  Now, on to the next project.

Here's just an update of what's going on around here!  I got the final mixes from ZodLounge Graphics, and the photos are just about finished up.  We're set to have our radio release, final CD's, and online distribution in place by mid-May.  Once I get the graphics and photos, I'm going to get rolling on a new website. Stay tuned!!

Rediscovering Discovery Camp

3/11/09

Jason and the rest of the crew are scheduled to head back to their favorite weekend of the year in June. The Salvation Army's annual Discovery Camp for Kansas City youth with incarcerated parents is just one of the many wonderful ministries Salvation Army provides. It is an honor and priviledge to witness God's love to so many amazing children. Can't wait!!

Nashville, here we come

Jason and the band will be heading to Nashville in mid-March to record a three song EP with ZodLounge (www.zodlounge.com). ZodLounge is owned and operated by Brett, Todd, and Tom (formerly of SonicFlood). They've worked with some of the best talent in the music industry and are all strong Christians. Check them out and get ready for the EP release this spring.
